Doctor Reddy Lab all set to apply Sputnik V Vaccine in Hyderabad.
In Hyderabad today, the Doctor Reddy Laboratory’ has applied the first dose of the Covid-19 Russian ‘Sputnik V’. The vaccine, imported from Russia, will be available in the Indian market at Rs 995 per dose. "If the vaccine is produced in India later, the price could go down," said Dr. Reddy Laboratory.
The first dose of the vaccine has been applied in Hyderabad with the launch of the Covid vaccine "Sputnik-V" in a small event today, "Dr. Reddy Laboratory" said in a statement.
Today, the first dose of "Sputnik V" was taken at the "Doctor Reddy Laboratory" in Hyderabad by "Custom Pharma Service" global head Deepak Sapra.
The maximum price of the vaccine, which is now being imported, is Rs948+ 5% ‘GST’ is being levied on vaccines per dose. According to Dr. Reddy Laboratory, prices are likely to fall once production and supply begin at home.
The first vaccine, which arrived in Russia on May 1, arrived in India. On May 13, the vaccine received a "Regulatory Clearance" from the Central Drug Laboratory in Kasauli. Russia will send more vaccines to India in the coming months. The production of the Sputnik V will be launched in India later.
Russia claims that the two doses of the Sputnik V vaccine will protect 91.6% of the Covid infection.
