Cyclone Tauktae Live Update

 By May 17, Cyclone Tauktae will turn into a devastating sea storm, with torrential rains from Kerala to Gujarat.

The low pressure created  day before yesterday in the Arabian Sea has turned into a deep depression Yesterday.  It is expected to turn into a cyclonic storm today, May 15, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

 According to the IMD bulletin, it will turn into a severe cyclonic storm on the night of the 15th or the morning of the 16th and a severe cyclonic storm on the 16th.  The IMD estimates that wind speeds can reach 150 to 180 kilometers per hour and sometimes up to 165 kilometers per hour.  The Indian Meteorological Department has warned fishermen not to venture into Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra and Gujarat due to the storm.

 It is reported that Myanmar has been named the storm Tauktae.
